MANIFESTO - DRAFT ONE
So, my friends, I have been doing this thing for about a month now, and it seems, finally, that it is coming together. I realize, though, that I never let you all know what exactly “it” is. Hence, draft one of the Watchwork Manifesto.
Here are the basics. I absolutely love to write and record music, but I am absoultely horrible at finishing and sharing that music. So, I created watchwork as sort of sketchbook for myself. A way for me to keep track of my ideas and let you all know exactly what I am working on these days
I hope that this can be a space where I can not only share my most immediate work, but also get some feedback from you all. Everything that I post will be in draft form, so I am more than open to hearing about what I can change, what sucks, and what I should never try again.
Oh, and I made some rules.
Rules
1. All songs are written and recorded the day that they are posted.
2. I will post at least one song a week.
3. If either rule 1 or 2 are not sufficiently met, you can yell at me.
[Regarding rule two and the song-a-day blitz of last week, I was lucky enough to have a week off from work (glorious), but since I return to work tomorrow (depressing) last week will probably be the exception to the rule.]
Well, amig@s, I am excited, and I look forward to a productive year! Thanks to all of you that have already been following and emailing me and such! It means a lot to me.
